What we do
At Heart & Home Living, we provide therapeutic homes for children who have experienced trauma, often due to adverse childhood experiences such as neglect. These challenges can lead to a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. Our long-term placements focus on helping children explore and process their trauma, equipping them with coping strategies to regulate their emotions and grow into resilient, well-balanced young adults.
Sadly, many young people in care have faced multiple rejections and feelings of abandonment due to the breakdown of significant relationships, particularly with key caregivers. This often leaves them struggling to envision a positive future. We recognise that stability is essential to healing, providing the foundation for children to rebuild self-belief and confidence. That’s why we create stable, loving homes where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive.
